MAIL

 

  • Must have full and complete name and address of sender and receiver

  • Must have proper postage

  • Photographs must not contain any image that is considered to be pornographic

  • All stamps are removed from mail before being released to inmates

  • Legal mail will be opened and inspected in front of the inmate.

  • Letters that contain a foreign substance will be rejected.

  • Letters that contain perfume, lipstick, lip gloss, or cologne will be rejected.

  • No bubble wrap, staples, paper clips, pamphlets, or sticky notes allowed.

  • No stamps, blank paper, or envelopes are allowed to be sent in to any inmate.

  • No inmate to inmate correspondence, even through a third party.

  • No money or money orders will be accepted through the mail.

  • Any item(s) that is deemed inappropriate or unacceptable by Administration will not be delivered.

  • Outgoing mail will be left unsealed and picked up when mail is delivered Sunday thru Thursday.

  • Mail is delivered to inmates once it is logged into the system and checked for contraband. 

  • Letters or messages brought directly to the jail will not be delivered.

TELEPHONE
Telephones are available in the general population cellblocks. This privilege may be denied and is not available for inmates serving disciplinary time.

COMMISSARY
Smoking is not allowed at the Jail, however, inmates are allowed to purchase writing materials, personal hygiene and food items from the Jail Commissary. Orders are placed on Mondays and will be dispensed on Tuesday. Inmates on disciplinary restriction will not be allowed to order or possess commissary until restrictions have be lifted.

HEALTH AND MEDICATION
Sick call is scheduled on a regular basis at the Jail and inmates are required to pay a fee of $25 for services and prescriptions. Indigent inmates will not be withheld treatment, however, a negative balance will be held against their account.

FINANCIAL TRANSACTIONS
Currency in a cellblock is considered to be contraband, but inmates are allowed to keep money on an account at the Jail. This money may be used to purchase commissary. Only U.S. Postal money orders will be accepted for deposit on an inmate’s account.

CLOTHING
One set of clothes may be delivered for an inmate if they are scheduled for a jury trial one day prior to scheduled trial date.

​

MEALS
Inmates are served meals 3 times a day including weekends and holidays. Meals are never withheld as a disciplinary measure.
