Arrest made in Tuesday Morning Murder Investigation

Early Tuesday morning deputies were dispatched to an address in the Northeast part of the county in reference to a possible assault.

When deputies arrived they encountered the suspect, Zachary Barnes, still on scene outside the residence and they were able to take him into custody.

The victim was then located in a bedroom at the residence, EMS personnel arrived on scene and the victim was determined to be deceased.

The scene was secured at which time an investigation into this incident was initiated. The suspect was transported from the scene and later that morning officially charged with murder.

Barnes bond was set at $1,000,000 by Justice Court Judge Bobby Mooney.
