Fugitive Murder Suspect, from Illinois, Captured in Covington County

On May 19, 2020 the United States Marshal's Service received information that a murder suspect from Illinois was possibly in Covington County.

The Covington County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Marshal's Service in the apprehension and arrest of wanted fugitive James Rushing

Rushing was wanted by the Chicago Police Department for the charge of Murder. Rushing has signed his waiver of extradition to be returned to Chicago to answer for this charge.
